Thanks to Lark!  Episode 7 ~ Periculum (continued) : As the bar closes, Jake muses about the White Bulls, he's impressed they risk everything for their ideals, but Dante corrects him, they take care of each other first. He asks, what does Jake think happens to seized funds after a trial? It's destroyed, so why shouldn't they take it before it's incinerated, pay for his retired father's care, or his kids' college education? Dante calls it a balance of the scales. He tells Jake this is a one-time offer, they expect him to accept, but if he refuses, they'll all forget the offer was ever made. Jake asks how he was chosen, and Dante re-iterates, it was careful process. He tells Jake the bill is on him, but Jake tosses down his money anyway, he has not been bought - yet.
Before she leaves, Sara asks if she has passed the test, she gave no brilliant answers, but Elizabeth tells her it was truth, not brilliance that was required for her to pass, and she was honest, so she passed. Sara asks what is the Witchblade, who created it? Elizabeth tells her it is a branch ripped from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil...
Outside the bar, Jake asks Dante how much time he has, and Dante tells him not long, but he'll have to prove his loyalty - they'll tell him what he has to do when he accepts, and the proof will involve Sara Pezzini.
Sara is released from the Witchblade bonds, and time passes normally. She awakens late in the morning, and leaps off her bed in shock. She tries to turn the Witchblade on her wrist, and finds that it has bored it's way into her arm - it's truly a part of her now. She showers and dresses, and while she cleans up her home, Danny comes to her, she succeeded, but he appears uneasy; she tries to hug him, and he backs away, she can't touch him anymore. She is glad, though, she's not afraid to die anymore. She reaches to touch his face, and they are both saddened.
Irons views a DNA strand, and Nottingham enters: Sara passed the test. Irons says Sara and the Witchblade are now one. He asks how Ian feels, and Ian declares he is proud of Sara, and pleased to be alive in this time. Irons says their job has become more difficult, he cannot simply take the Witchblade from Sara anymore, he would have to take her as well. Ian asks is that possible? Irons is enigmatic, Ian will probably be the first to know... and he returns to his study of the DNA strand, dismissing his faithful servant.
Jake comes to Sara's apartment, she is cheerful and affectionate with him: she assures him she is OK now, and continues straightening up, while Jake looks at pictures, letters, and other things on the table. He finds the bullet with the black bull Sara had found in the box Joe Siri had given her, and when Sara tells him it's memorabilia from her parents, and she thought it might tell her a story, Jake broods...
Thanks to Lark!  Episode 8 ~ Thanatopsis: Dante briefs his staff in his office: an international arms dealer, Armand Parsigian, is coming to make a huge sale. They aren't sure why he's there, he lives on a yacht and never comes ashore, they are certain he's making a huge sale or purchase. Sara sees flashes of Kenneth Irons.
A deliveryman drops off a brightly wrapped box with a bouquet of balloons in an alley in front of an unmarked door.
Sara asks why they're involved, this is a federal type of case and Dante says the feds don't know about it, yet, this is a career-making case, it's theirs! Jake asks about Benjamin Wolf, Parsegian's bodyguard, he is rumored to have a sixth sense about surveillance. Sara makes the mistake of asking about her caseload and court appearances: Dante dismisses everyone - except her.
The package is picked up by a man in a three-piece suit.
Dante feeds Sara a line he thinks she can handle a difficult assignment. Before she can react to the praise, he says maybe it's Jake he's impressed with. Or maybe he's just shorthanded... and then he tears Sara a new asshole before booting her out of his office.

The house is a mess, he had a party, Gabriel cheerfully rummages through Sly's albums and jokes he's going to take DVDs; they have somewhere to go, he tries to hurry Sly along; he sniffs the butt end of a joint, and starts chewing on a piece of cold pizza, then finds Sly hanging in the stairwell. Gabriel thinks at first it's a sick joke, then realizes his friend is dead. Hysterically, he cries for help.
Parsigian is talking on a portable earpiece phone, describing a weapon to the man in the three-piece suit who is walking high on a building parapet; his face is obscured by the balloons as he unwraps the box and takes out a huge gun. The man on the parapet fits it together as Parsigian and his bodyguard enter a high-rise not far from the other. The balloons float away.
Sara and Jake prepare for duty, and Gabriel interrupts: he is short with Jake, who leaves and Gabriel tells Sara Sly is dead. He asks her to help, Orlinsky had answered the call and was a jerk.
